Advent Birds

Hi There!

I love birds, they are such a great inspiration in the crafting community...
It might be too late for this little Bird Advent Calendar (tutorial here).
But why not as a everyday kid bedroom decoration?

These can also be easily made from scraps of paper, and just look great!

But you can also buy them from this Etsy shop (Royal Buffet)! Why not as a last minute Xmas gift??

And what about this lamp?

It's great idea, and you can customize it your way (with birds more or less real, or butterflies cut out of felt...) Actually, I can picture it in a "grown-up" bedroom too! Can't you?

Don't resign on Resin

Resin is THE next step I want to achieve in jewellery making. Because then, you just can really design anything you want, just imagine, and you can do it.
For example, Liberty fabrics: we love these little flowers, their vintage look and we would like to wear them evrywhere! Then resin is just your new friend! Drop some resin on top of a little scrap of fabric, and here is the beginning of your new earrings! You can also use a piece of a map, a magazine print, a game card... You can even add some 3D to your design, it looks just amazing!!!
I have found a little tutorial (and another one) that could be useful, if you'd like to make your own.

(Please, visit this website - it's amazing source of inspiration, every creation is just great - and you've got an online shop too, that is in English and French!)

And I have found a really nice Etsy shop with absolutely lovely resin jewels!

Aren't they great gift Xmas ideas?

Fall colours

Photography is one of my favourites, along with crafting, reading, going to cinema, music, sport.... Nothing better than a old fashion film camera! I took this picture last october in the Peak District. We made a nice long walk through the moutains, enjoying the beautiful fall shades in the landscapes. And I am very happy with the 120 film roll that I used this day (400 ASA NC - neutral coulours - from Kodak). It looks like it's coming from the 6o's, doesn't it?

Welcome

Welcome on Elise's Sweet Little Things blog.
After 3 years spent in England, I finally open an english-speaking-blog! It is not my first blog. No, no, there has been this one, and this one. And this one too!
As you may guess in reading through them, I'm French, I live in UK after having lived in Germany for 1 year. I love crafts: sewing, knitting, candles... And I love all kind of sweet little things: the ones you can eat, the little nice surprises of life, the cute little objects, the little great ideas that fly like butterflies in the crafting-community... So I hope this blog will be like this: just nice little things that I discover on the web, and want to share with you, little things made by me, ideas found when visiting your blogs, books I enjoy, photographs I like... Your comments are welcome, and please share your own findings!
In one word: Welcome!
